Olga Nikitina
Artist from Siberia
My name is Olga, I am originally from Krasnoyarsk (Russia) - the Siberian city in the middle of the country. My story with art started when I was around 10 and attended an art school named by a famous Russian artist - Vasiliy Syrikov. After 5 years of academic studies, I saw art as a gift of realistic drawing which not everyone has.

But later on, when living in Europe (Vienna, Paris) I discovered modern art, impressionism, surrealism, and others. It really blew my mind - color, forms, passion in those paintings, and it gave me a new wave of inspiration.

My relocation to California in 2020 opened new boundaries for my imagination and inspiration - deserts, valleys, flora, and fauna of Arizona, Nevada, and California give me ideas for my new masterpieces. I've been exhibiting since then in Arizona, Kansas and California.

Style
I developed my style through different experiments with mediums like oil, acrylic, ink, pastel, watercolor. I can say that my outstanding style so far is called naive/primitive. It is a deep voice of my inner child who wants to simplify the world around, play with colors and mediums so as a result we don't forget that we all used to be kids before and enjoyed life as it was.
